Economical Weight Loss: Kettlebell Exercises

By Michele Moncrieffe

People usually think of kettlebell weight training when thinking about effective exercises. However, kettlebell weights bring about physical results, not only weight loss but also the strengthening and tightening of the body. These kettlebell exercises offer intense and challenging work outs. Still, the majority of exercisers work out with free weights and dumbbells.

The money saved with kettlebell weight training might be the most alluring part of the weights. Gym memberships can be a burden on your wallet. Kettlebells don't cost nearly as much. The tea kettle-shaped weights are engineered to follow the human body's natural movements. Because of this, kettlebell workouts require a familiar range of motion without any odd angles or positions.

The weight loss results write for themselves in the form of various success stories as well. For instance, a marathon runner, Guy Bedard, once had to stand down when a knee injury took him out. After gaining over fifty pounds of weight, he underwent a training program using kettlebell weights. In just eight weeks, he was able to lose 21 pounds thanks to the session. Success stories such as these make the thought of kettlebell weights all the more appealing.

Kettlebell workouts do not require a lot of room to perform them. This is another advantage of this weight training method. Swings, pushups, squats, and walking lunges can all be done in twenty reps with kettlebells, and one does not need to take over a room to do them. All that is necessary for the exerciser to have is some personal space. Once they have that then they can work those extra pounds right out of their system.

Kettlebell training has many advantages and while there exist people who undergo said training, it's still not the phenomenon it has the potential to be. With an easy-to-use system anyone can get into, it's baffling how no one seems to want to take the plunge. Results can be found in weeks after taking of taking on the routine. The fact that kettlebells, which are about as portable as dumbbells, can be used in close quarters is only another factor to add to the already attractive list of reasons to take on training.
